Micro Collection Hoth Bacta Chamber Box
Shown here is a proof sheet for the box of this unreleased Micro Collection playset. It is the most famous of the unreleased Micro sets which also included the Bespin Torture Chamber, Ewok Village, and Dagobah environments. The box would be cut and folded from a cardboard sheet like this one. Layouts and proofs are pretty easy to recognize because of the multi-color stripe on the edge. Also sometimes present are dotted gridlines around the corners of the image. This particular prototype set has been shown in several books and magazines.

The side flap of the box shows the bacta chamber arranged with the other Hoth micro worlds. The Luke in diapers figure is hoisted by the crane into the bacta compartment as illustrated in the photos. There is also a table where Luke can lie down for scanning.

This legendary playset came with four figures: 2-1B, C-3P0, FX-7, and Luke as shown by the other box flap.

The box design is consistent with the other Hoth Micro Collection sets and this would have fit nicely into that series. Unfortunately, the Micro Collection line was not a big commercial success and thus this unproduced box remains a vintage collector's item.
