French Meccano 45-Back AT-AT Driver: This carded figure is really terrific! It is one of the early French ROTJ 45-backs. Although there are a lot of 45-back ROTJ releases in the Meccano line, this is a card from the very early ROTJ series. How can we say that? It is very simple. First of all, take a look at the bubble and you will see that it does not look like the one used on later Meccano ROTJ figures. In fact, it's the same kind of shape that was used for the ESB Meccano square cards. Also, you can see that there are different layers in the bubble: instead of having only one elevation (the part which is glued to the card and the part that fits over the action figure), this bubble consists of two elevations. Only a very few ESB characters were packaged on ROTJ cards using these bubbles.

The cardback shows 45 action figures and also the Miro-Meccano logo. Also note that the copyright reads "made in Hong-Kong" in english, but the name of the action figure reads in full-french, as "Conducteur du At-At." Kind of funny, isn't it?
